Summary

Colfax (4-3) scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh and edged Lind-Ritzville/Sprague (3-5) 8-6 in the second game of a Northeast 2B league doubleheader on Saturday.

Ashtyn Aune hit a 2 RBI single in the top of the seventh to give the Bulldogs their two-run lead. Colfax pitcher Abbie Miller hung on with runners on third and second in the bottom of the seventh, forcing two ground-ball outs to put away the Broncos.

Laurel Hayes' RBI single and an error allowed LRS to score two runs to tie the game in the bottom of the sixth.

Chelsea Becker and Aune both finished 2-for-4 for the Bulldogs, and Becker's double was Colfax's only extra-base hit. Alisha Baker was 3-for-4 for the Broncos.

Colfax takes on Springdale next in a doubleheader on Tuesday, while LRS travels to Davenport.
