What happened: Jeremiah Hillard and Eli Holecek scored 14 points apiece and East Valley (4-5) pulled away in a 58-46 win over Sandpoint (1-6) in a nonleague game on Thursday. The Knights led by one, 27-26 at the half, but used an 18-11 run in the third quarter to take control, and a 13-9 fourth-quarter spurt to salt it away. Ale-Dre Bracey sparked the offense off the bench for 13 points. Taran McGaughlin led Sandpoint with 12 points. Both teams will participate in next week’s West Valley Eagle Holiday Classic tournament.
