Summary

Ryan Ricks scored 29 points to help the Crusaders (7-1) win the Greg Larson Memorial Invitational tournament title and hand the Scotties (8-1) their first loss of the season, 65-60, on Thursday. Ricks, who scored 23 points on Wednesday in the first round against St. Maries, was named tournament MVP. He hit two late free throws in a 23-16 fourth quarter to keep NWC out of reach. Asher Cox scored 16 points for NWC, while Rolf Veenstra and Nolan Burns added 10 points apiece. Freeman was led by Dylan Oja with 21 points, Michael Coumont kicked in 15 and Ryan Maine added 10.
