Summary

Brooke Olson hit a 2nd inning solo shot home run to accompany her five total RBIs and a win at the mound, leading North Central over Lakeside 15-9 on Saturday.

After four first-inning runs gave North Central the early lead, Lakeside stayed close with four and two runs in the second and the third. But North Central scored seven combined runs in the last three innings to gain separation and hold on. Olson finished the game throwing four strikeouts and only committing one walk, opposite Lakeside's pitching corps, who gave up a combined 10 walks and hit-by-pitches.

Designated hitter Alex Horn finished with three hits for North Central. Mackenzie Matteson had two home runs, a solo shot in the second and a two-run homer in the third, to go along with four total RBIs for Lakeside. Lakeside's Taylor Wuesthoff also finished 2 of 5 at-bat and Saelor Dvorak had three singles.
