Colin Spendlove tossed a three-hitter and drove in the only run as East Valley edged host West Valley 1-0 Saturday in a District 7 2A playoff game.

Spendlove singled in Riley Sines in the fifth inning for the game's only run.

Johnny Sage also allowed just three hits and hit two singles for the Eagles.

East Valley will now play Cheney on Monday.
