Summary

Hannah Anderson hit a two-run single in the bottom of the fifth and Central Valley held on to beat Walla Walla 4-3 in the 4A Regional at University on Monday to advance to the state tournament. Walla Walla ends its season.

Riley Thompson hit a lead-off single in the bottom of the fifth, and Jordan Schneidmiller added a double before Anderson's single cleared the bases to give the Bears the lead for good.

Walla Walla pulled to 4-3 in the top of the sixth when Schoessler hit a triple and then scored on an infield error. The Bears shut down the Blue Devils from there, not allowing a hit or a base runner the rest of the way.

Kelsey Gumm pitched a complete game for the Bears, scattering four hits with four strikeouts.
