Maddy Zerr hit a two-run home run to help send Selah to the 2A state tournament with a 9-2 victory over Cheney in Ephrata on Monday night. Cheney ends its season.
The first three innings were played in Cheney on Saturday before being postponed due to weather.
The Blackhawks scored both runs on its home field. Rachel Barsness singled and then scored off Maddie Kallsen's single. Meghan Krantz added a triple to score Kallsen.
Zerr hit her home run in the first, then added an RBI-single in the fourth. Zerr pitched a complete game, allowing eight hits with eight strikeouts.
