What happened: Cheney got up to a lead a halftime in what was a tight first half, but it didn't last long as North Central scored quickly in the third quarter to go up 14-10. North Central then scored again in the fourth to take a 21-10 lead with about 12 minutes to go, but Cheney kept fighting and answered right back to make it 21-16. With about five minutes to go and North Central's defense struggling, Cheney's Logan Kendall caught a touchdown pass from quarterback Cole Hincrichs to give the Blackhawks a 22-21 lead that was the game winning touchdown.
Charles Johnson lead the way for Cheney on the ground, running 18 times for 144 yards and one touchdown. Hinrichs played well at quarterback completing 11 of his 18 passes and threw 2 touchdowns and no interceptions. Luke Martin lead in receiving for the Blackhawks with 5 catches for 72 yards and a touchdown.
North Central's Kieran McHenry had a great game rushing for 136 yards and two touchdowns on 23 carries.
Turning point: Cheney's first touchdown in the fourth quarter started some momentum for them, and once they got the ball back after an Indians' possession, they moved all the way down and scored what was the game winning touchdown.
Stat of the game: Both running backs shined in the game rushing for over 100 yards each, and the receiving corps for Cheney played very well.
