Summary

What happened: In an early back and forth game, Garfield-Palouse found its' spark and rolled to a win against Lakeside. The Vikings controlled the line of scrimmage from the beginning and it was a big reason for their success against a struggling defense. In the second half, Lakeside lost several key players to injury, including a hurt ankle to quarterback Bryar Sanchez. Evan Weagraff was the highlight of the night, rushing for 251 yards on 15 carries and three touchdowns and throwing for two more. Eli Hawkins also ran hard with 11 carries for 174 yards and two touchdowns.

Alex Takootas filled in well for Lakeside after some injuries scoring two touchdowns. Jordan Davison played well in the loss scoring on two long plays, one being a 74 yard run and the other a 76 yard catch and run.
