Summary

What happened: Newport got the best of Chewelah in this one with a big fourth quarter touchdown by Cao Pancho. Pancho scored both touchdowns for the Grizzlies carrying the ball 20 times for 89 yards. Jesse Reyes also had a big night on the ground in what was a two-headed monster of Pancho and Reyes, having 18 carries for 97 yards.

In the second quarter, the Cougars were driving, but fumbled the ball on their on 40 yard-line and Newport recovered. Seven plays later, Coa Pancho scored from three yards away for their first touchdown and held on to the lead the rest of the game thanks to a tough defense.

Chewelah's Dom Coleman scored the only touchdown for the Cougars and had 18 carries for 97 yards.
