Summary

Lindsey Lindgren and Logan Reed scored nine points apiece and the Nighthawks (18-5) eliminated the Indians (12-8) 36-22 on Friday in a District 9 1B loser-out game.

Oakesdale, ranked second in state 1B, advances to play Pomeroy on Saturday at 5 p.m. in a play-in to regionals

Touchet took an early 11-5 lead, but Oakesdale turned up the defense and shut out the Indians in the second quarter to lead 19-11 at intermission. Jacey Johnson scored all of her eight points in the frame.

Reed also added seven rebounds while Lindgren added six rebounds with four assists.

Touchet was led by Paytyn Richatz with seven points.
