Jumping out to a five-point lead early, the Vikings continued that momentum into the second quarter and extended their lead to 13 by halftime. Lake City outscored Coeur d'Alene in the second half, but it wasn't enough as the Vikings took the victory.

Sam Matheson led CdA in scoring with 19 points, shooting 10 of 12 from the free-throw line. Colson Yankoff added a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds.

The Vikings' defense was key in the victory, holding Lake City's top scorer, Kenny Louie-McGee, to only four points. Lake City was led in scoring by James Carlson with 12.
