Summary

Jacob Sieler scored 17 points with eight steals and six assists and helped lead St. Maries to a 64-36 win over Grangeville on Tuesday in the Idaho 2A District 1-2 Championship game.

The Lumberjacks played a strong defensive game and were able to take advantage in the first half, creating 12 turnovers that allowed them to take a commanding 38-19 lead. Trey Dreadfulwater led the Bulldogs with 14 points.

St. Maries sealed their third straight district title.

St. Maries plays at Capital High School on March 2 at 11:00 am in the first round of the state tournament.

Grangeville plays Orofino on Thursday at 7:00 pm in a state play-in game.
