Summary

What happened: Christine Denny eclipsed the 1,500 point mark in her four-year career to help Liberty (14-0, 10-0) defeat Northwest Christian (6-7, 4-6) 64-39 on Tuesday in Northeast 2B play.

Denny scored 18 points, grabbed seven rebounds and had seven assists to help keep Liberty undefeated for the season.

Denny, who received a full-ride scholarship to Carroll College, scored 23 points on Saturday in a 79-45 win over Kettle Falls and 24 points on Jan. 10 as the Lancers routed Wilbur-Creston 60-36. She’s averaged 19.6 points in five games in 2017.

The senior point guard has led the NE2B in scoring and named to the all-league team each of her prior three seasons.

The Lancers put up a 23-point first quarter, then outscored Northwest Christian 28-15 in the second half to win going away.

Maisie Burnham led Liberty with 23 points and Madelynne Flaig added 12.

Savanna Morash scored 11 points and came down with 13 rebounds for the Crusaders, while Natalie Smith added 10.
