Summary

Thomas Brown notched 20 points, and Northwest Christian bested Adna 60-43 Friday at the Spokane Arena in a State 2B consolation game.

The Crusaders (24-2) trailed 18-17 after the first quarter, but pulled away thanks to their stingy zone defense, which limited the Pirates (20-8) to just two made field goals in the second and third quarters.

Ryan Ricks chipped in 15 points, 13 rebounds and five assists for NWC, while Asher Cox tallied 16 points and nine boards. The Crusaders nearly doubled up Adna in total rebounds (41-22). They will play in the fourth-place match on Saturday.

Tanner Rigdon led all scorers with 27 points for the Pirates, including 10 of 11 from the free-throw line, and also snagged nine rebounds. Adna's season is over.
