Maguire Isaak banked in the game-winning shot with 20 seconds remaining, and Almira/Coulee-Hartline outlasted Pomeroy 62-61 in double overtime Saturday to win the State 1B third-place game at the Spokane Arena.
Pomeroy had a chance to retake the lead after that, but Ryan Wolf's shot rolled off the rim with 10 seconds remaining. Hayden Loomis then missed a pair of free throws, but the Pirates lost the loose ball out of bounds and didn't get another chance.
Gage Burchill led the Warriors with 19 points, Loomis netted 14 and Isaak scored 11. Payton Nielsen grabbed 16 rebounds. Loomis' 3-pointer with 40 seconds left in the first overtime tied the game and forced the second extra session.
Jace Gwinn led Pomeroy with 13 points and Hogan Heyvelt netted 12. Cort LaMunyan, whose shot just before the buzzer forced the first overtime, finished with 10.
