Summary

Josh Brandt carried the ball 14 times for 111 yards as Lakeland (1-2) defeated East Valley (1-1) 34-18 on Saturday. Brant also rushed for a touchdown.

East Valley took a 12-6 lead at halftime, but Lakeland wasn't down for long. Coming out of the half, the Hawks roared to three third-quarter touchdowns to take the lead 27-12. Rhonin Edwards pounded in a pair or touchdowns to help the offense. Logan Siegford played well at quarterback for the Hawks completing all of his passes for 115 yards.

For the Knights, Christian Johnston threw three touchdowns and finished with 281 yards through the air. Rodrick Fisher played well on the receiving end catching six passes for 157 yards with a touchdown.
