What happened: Isaac Ballew scored 18 points off five 3-pointers--all in the first half--and the Trojans (10-4, 6-1) knocked off the No. 5-ranked Timberwolves (9-5, 6-1) in an Inland Empire League game on Thursday. Alex Horning added 11 points for Post Falls, with six in the fourth quarter. Zach Johnson led Lake City with 12 points. Post Falls led by 15 at intermission but went dry in the third, scoring just three points on a 3-pointer by James Lee. Lake City trimmed the deficit to one with about a minute to play as Kolton Mitchell hit six straight at the line. But the Trojans forced a turnover at midcourt on an inbounds pass and held on to tie the Timberwolves at the top of the IEL standings.
