What happened: Peyton Miller, Lily Hanson and Harlow Heidel scored a run apiece in the top of the eighth and the visiting 13th-seeded Buccaneers (17-6) defeated the fourth-seeded Stags (21-2) in a State 2A first round game at Carlon Park in Selah on Friday. Lucy Lathrop led Deer Park with two hits and one run. Deer Park will face 12th-seeded Cedarcrest in an elimination game at 1:30 p.m.
