Brandon Flett scored 24 points and the Redskins (19-6) beat the Wildcats (16-10) 62-55 on Friday in a 1B regional round game at Cheney HS. Wellpinit advances to a first round state game on Wednesday at the Arena while Colton is eliminated. Wellpinit led 20-8 after the first, but Colton got its deficit to three points at halftime. The Wildcats (16-9) topped the Cardinals (15-6) 68-51 on Saturday in the District 9 1B second-place game at Colfax HS. Colton advances to next weekend’s regional tournament.
