What happened: Addison Wells-Morrison scored 19 points with five 3-pointers and the ninth-seeded Panthers (17-7) eliminated the 16th-seeded Wildcats (17-8) in a State 4A opening round game at Central Valley HS on Saturday. Ashlyn McGinnis led Eastmont with 17, Lexi Pilkinton added 16. Reese Frederick contributed 16 points for Mead. Mead faces top-seeded Davis in loser-out on Wednesday.
