Jonny Hillman scored 29 points and Genesis Prep won the Idaho State 1A DII championship with a 68-62 win over Dietrich on Saturday at Ford Idaho Center in Nampa. Stephane Manzi added 16 points and 14 rebounds for the Jaguars (21-4) which led 48-36 after three then withstood a 26-point fourth quarter from Dietrich (24-2) for the title. Jake Smith led Dietrich with 22 points, while Kade Shaw had 14 and Slade Dill had 12 points with 14 rebounds.

Stephane Manzi scored 17 points with eight rebounds and Genesis Prep (21-4) beat Carey (16-11) 68-33 on Friday in an Idaho State 1A DII semifinal game at Caldwell HS. Genesis Prep will advance to the state title game against Dietrich (24-1) at 9:30 a.m. at Ford Idaho Center in Nampa. Junior Williams scored 15 points and Jonny Hillman added 14 points and six rebounds.
