Match Burnham scored 30 points, and Liberty defeated Warden 68-52 Saturday at Cheney in the 2B regional round of state. With the win, the Lancers move on to the state quarterfinals Thursday at the Spokane Arena. Clay Fleming added 12 points and Kyle King notched 10 for Liberty. JR Delgado scored a game-high 24 points in defeat for the Cougars.

Match Burnham sparked Liberty to a 2A subregional championship on Saturday. Burnham totaled 22 points, nine rebounds and eight assists, and the Lancers beat Northwest Christian for a third time this season, 70-61 at Whitman College in Walla Walla.
