Republic defeated Colton by a score of 7-2 behind Carter Dahmen who didn't allow a run before being replaced in the fifth inning. Colton's reliever Cameron Bean threw three perfect innings, but it was too late, as the Wildcats were already down by seven. Republic will play Riverside Christian and Colton will play Liberty Christian in state on Saturday in Walla Walla.

It only took Republic three hits to edge Riverside Christian 1-0 in the 1B subregional semifinal on Tuesday night. Aaron Fritts hit a triple in the bottom of the fourth with no runners on and Aaron Helms followed with a sacrifice fly to drive in Fritts for the go-ahead run. Fritts led the Tigers on the mound with 13 strikeouts in seven innings.
