What happened: The second-seeded Wildcats (16-3) defeated the visiting 15th-seeded Blazers (16-7) in four sets of a State 3A first-round match on Friday at the Yakima Valley SunDome. Mt. Spokane faces seventh-seeded Ridgeline at 9:00 p.m. in a State 3A quarterfinal match.
