What happened: Tilden Shumway went 2 for 3 with two RBIs, two runs, one stolen base and the top-seeded Jaguars (26-2) defeated the visiting fourth-seeded Crusaders (21-4) in a State 2B semifinal game at Carlon Park in Selah on Saturday. Adin Spuler led NWC with one hit and one RBI. NW Christian will face 10th-seeded Toutle Lake for State 2B third place on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. Tri-Cities Prep will play third-seeded Napavine for the State 2B championship on Saturday.
