What happened: Cooper Carlson rushed for 296 yards with three touchdowns and the third-seeded Mules (11-0) defeated the sixth-seeded Pirates (9-2) in a State 1B quarterfinal game at Kelso Stadium on Saturday. Kyzer Herres had 24 rushes for 233 yards and two scores for Pomeroy.
