Walla Walla snapped a 1-all tie with a run in the bottom of the sixth as the Blue Devils clinched a berth to the State 4A tournament with a 2-1 win over visiting Gonzaga Prep in a 4A regional semifinal. Walla Walla will meet Richland at 3 p.m. Saturday at Central Valley for the regional title and seeding to state. G-Prep (17-6) will meet host CV (17-4) at noon for the third and final seed to state.

Futa Ikuma laced two doubles, and Walla Walla defeated Pullman 9-0 in the first game of a doubleheader Tuesday at Walla Walla. Mason Knowles added a pair of hits for the Blue Devils, who scored six to open the scoring in the third and roll to victory.
