Travel Survey Promotional Contest of Chance – Official Entry Guide and Rules
The Travel Survey promotion is sponsored by The Spokesman-Review, referred to as “Sponsor” in this document.
No purchase or subscription is necessary to enter or win. A purchase or subscription will not increase your chances of winning.
Eligibility
The travel survey promotion is open to legal residents of the United States who are at least eighteen (18) years of age at the time of entry. Employees, immediate family members, or household members of Cowles Company, The Spokesman-Review, Comma Community Journalism Labs, and their related affiliates and subsidiaries are not eligible to participate.
Promotion Period
The survey entry period begins at 12:01 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 1, 2026, Pacific Daylight Time, and has been extended due to regional circumstances. The promotion will now end at 11:59 p.m. PDT on Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2026. Any promotion entries received after the survey period will not be eligible.
How to Enter
Complete the official travel survey during the Promotion Period and provide the requested contact information. Upon completing the survey, you will automatically receive one (1) entry into the random drawing.
Drawing is limited to one (1) entry per person and one (1) entry per household. Multiple entries, duplicate entries, or entries submitted using automated methods may be disqualified.
Participation in the survey is voluntary. To be eligible for the prize, all questions must be answered, and complete contact information must be provided.
Prize
One (1) winner will receive one (1) $100 Visa gift card.
Approximate Retail Value (ARV): $100.00
Depending on winner’s preference, the card can be sent via email, mail or they can arrange to pick up a physical card in person at The Spokesman-Review office in Spokane, Washington.
No substitution, transfer, or cash redemption of the prize is permitted.
Winner Selection and Notification
A representative from The Spokesman-Review will select one winner from all eligible entries received during the Survey Period using a random selection method.
The drawing will take place on or about Monday, August 31, 2026.
The selected winner will be contacted using the email address or phone number provided with their survey entry. If the selected winner cannot be contacted, fails to respond within seven (7) calendar days, declines the prize, or is determined to be ineligible; the Sponsor reserves the right to select an alternate winner. This will be repeated until someone meets all requirements.
Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received.
Publicity
Acceptance of the prize constitutes the winner’s permission for The Spokesman-Review to use the winner’s first name, city, and state for promotional purposes related to the drawing without additional compensation.
Privacy
Information collected through the survey will be used for survey administration, prize fulfillment, and research purposes in accordance with The Spokesman-Review‘s privacy practices. Personally identifiable information from all entries will not be sold or shared.
Survey responses may be analyzed and shared for internal research purposes but will not be publicly attributed to individual participants without their consent.
General Conditions
The Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the drawing process if fraud, technical failures, or any other factor beyond the Sponsor’s reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper functioning.
The Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any participant who tampers with the entry process, submits false information, attempts to obtain multiple entries, or otherwise violates these Official Rules.
The Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, inaccurate, misdirected, delayed, or undeliverable entries or communications, or for any technical malfunctions that may affect participation.
All federal, state, and local regulations apply. Void where prohibited.

Release of Liability
By participating, entrants agree to release and hold harmless The Spokesman-Review, its affiliates, employees, officers, directors, agents, and representatives from any claims, damages, losses, or liabilities arising from participation in the survey or acceptance, possession, or use of the prize, except where prohibited by law.
