Merrill Womach memorial

Friends and family members gather for a memorial service honoring famed gospel singer Merrill Womach on Saturday, Jan 10, 2015, at Fourth Memorial Church in Spokane, Wash. Womack was burned severely in a plane crash in 1961. He spent 50 weeks in a hospital and made a comeback after numerous reconstructive surgeries.

Russell also was a friend of Womach, living in the same retirement home as he did later in life.
