EWU will face all four Pac-12 NW schools

PARK CITY, Utah – Eastern Washington University Athletic Director Bill Chaves is taking his family to Disneyland this week, but not before working a little magic of his own. Last week, he completed a football quadfecta of sorts, scheduling a football game at Oregon in 2015 that gives the Eagles a chance to play all four Northwest Pac-12 teams in as many years. The Eagles will get a $450,000 payoff to play the Ducks, bringing the payout to exactly $2 million for five games against Pac-12 teams.

Anthony Larry, a starter at defensive end last season, is academically ineligible for the upcoming season, Eastern Washington University head coach Beau Baldwin said Tuesday. The 6-foot-3, 240-pound Larry, from Sacramento, Calif., had 40 tackles last year and was entering his junior season. He could return in 2013 if academically eligible.

At a gathering of coaches and media, the league unveiled a new logo Monday that is customized for each school using its colors. Football players from each conference school, including All-American wide receiver Nicholas Edwards of Eastern Washington, were presented to a gathering of athletic directors, coaches, media and others.

PARK CITY, Utah – With cornerback T.J. Lee III leading the way, Eastern Washington placed four players on the All-Big Sky Conference preseason football team announced Sunday. Lee, a 5-foot-9, 170-pound junior and all-conference pick last year, finished the 2011 season with 48 tackles, a pair of interceptions and one pass broken up.
