Boy Booked For Possession Of Stolen Bike, Burglar Tools

Spokane police stopped a 14-year-old boy riding a stolen bicycle Monday night and found him in possession of several tools common to burglars. The boy was riding the bike along Monroe Street near Augusta when officers saw him, said Dick Cottam, police spokesman. Officers recognized the bike as one reported stolen earlier in the evening, Cottam said. The boy tried to flee, but soon was caught.

Dinner Theater Will Aid Rogers, Cops Northeast In/Around: Hillyard

Rogers High School and COPS Northeast are teaming up to stage a dinner theater production later this month. The school's drama club is putting on Neil Simon's "The Plaza Suite" Jan. 18-21. COPS Northeast fund-raising chairman Del Irish came up with the idea of a dinner theater several months ago and was looking for an opportunity.
