New Reservoir Eases Restrictions
Mandatory water restrictions were lifted in Post Falls Friday as the city’s new 1 million gallon reservoir began pumping water to residents.
“We went on line this morning and everything went slick as a whistle. We have plenty of water,” said Public Works Director Paul Diener.
Diener is still asking residents to conserve water by obeying voluntary watering restrictions. Homes with odd numbered addresses are to water on odd numbered days and even numbers on even days.
“During peak periods in the afternoon, demand can still exceed our capacity. The voluntary restrictions will help level out those peaks.”
If possible, residents should refrain from watering during the peak period between 6 and 10 p.m., he said.
