Ziebart Loses In State Legion

Ziebart Tidy Car of Spokane lost its opener in the state American Legion baseball tournament Thursday night, falling to Centralia, 6-5.

Ziebart, made up of players from North Central High School, saw its record fall to 38-5. Details of Ziebart’s loss in the doubleelimination tournament were not available.

Ziebart plays again today against Marysville at 1 p.m. in a loser-out game. Marysville lost to Bellevue Lakeside Recovery, 6-3.

In other first-round games, Yakima defeated Arlington, 5-4; and the Vancouver Cardinals knocked off Enumclaw, 7-1.
