POLICE

William Sutton reported Monday that someone shot BBs at the rear windows of two vehicles while they were parked at his business, Sutton’s Towing, 416 E. 5th St. Damage is estimated at $800.

Robert Straw reported Monday the loss of a portable Motorola radio, valued at $435, in the area of Riverside Harbor.

Nikki Rosier reported Thursday the theft of a stereo, speakers and an amplifier, valued at $1,183, from her car while it was parked at her home on Scott Street.

COEUR D’ALENE POLICE

Julie Allen, a manager for Goodwill Indus tries, 1212 N. Fourth St. reported Thursday that a truckload of donated items was stolen from a locked truck parked at the Coeur d’Alene center. Value of the items was unknown.

Larry Myers, a manager for Check-It-Out Video, 408 W. Haycraft, reported Thursday the $549 theft of a video cassette recorder and 10 triple X-rated movies. The items were rented July 7; attempts to retrieve them have been unsuccessful.

James Kaufman, owner of Auto Rental of Coeur d’Alene, reported Wednesday that a ‘85 Chevy Celebrity had been rented and was returned the night of Aug. 2. Three weeks rent ($483) is due; the renter has moved and can’t be located.

Myndi Rigney, credit manager for the Emporium retail store in Eugene, Ore., reported that a woman opened a charge account with the Emporium store in Coeur d’Alene under the name of David Gehres and charged $684 to the account.

KOOTENAI COUNTY SHERIFF

Gene McFarland, Coeur d’Alene, reported

Aug. 5 the $575 theft of stereo equipment from his ‘78 Pontiac while it was parked at the Monte Vista Motel, Coeur d’Alene.

About $1,500 in cash was stolen from Roberta Doupe, owner of Bobby’s Bar, Plummer. She reported Aug. 11 that while visiting Jimmy’s Bar in Worley someone stole the money from her purse while she was away from her table.
