WINNERS: Vancouver, British Columbia, natives Frank Clarke and Carol Montgomery were the professional men’s and women’s winners in Sunday’s triathlon, each setting course records.

PARTICIPANTS: Largest turnout ever, says triathlon organizer Dave Daboll, with more than 600 participants.

WEATHER: Warmest in the 11-year history of the Coeur d’Alene event, with a 75-degree water temperature.
