Molester Must Serve Five Years

From Staff

A District Court judge has rejected the recommendation of state corrections officials and ordered convicted child molester Dale Bolon to serve at least five years in prison.

Judge George Reinhardt’s decision ended a four-year campaign by his victim, Amber TeRonde, and her stepdad for Bolon’s incarceration.

Bolon, who had pleaded guilty to sexually molesting TeRonde four years ago when she was only 9 years old, wept openly when Reinhardt ordered him to serve at least five years of a maximum 30 year sentence before being eligible for parole.

In addition to having committed 11 acts of molestation against two girls, Bolon had a history of drug and alcohol abuse, the judge said, as well as having exhibited a pattern of impulsive and aggressive behavior, a poor work history and little empathy for his victims.
