Students Win WSU Scholarships
The following area students have been awarded scholarships to attend Washington State University:
Those awarded a four-year, $3,000 Distinguished Glenn Terrell Presidential Scholarship include:
Ryan Allan, University High School graduate, plans to study engineering. He is the son of Rosalee and Jon Allan, Greenacres.
Sherri Babb, a Cheney High School graduate, is the daughter of Kathleen and David Babb. She plans to study molecular genetics and cell biology.
Nathaniel Hicks, a Cheney High School graduate, plans to study physics. He is the son of Gail and Barry Hicks, Cheney.
David Lishner, a Mead High School graduate, plans to study physics. He is the son of Kris and Mark Lishner, Spokane.
Michele Turner, a Shadle Park High School graduate, plans to study business. She is the daughter of Joanne and Timothy Turner, Spokane.
Christopher Yarber, a St. Maries High School graduate, plans to study biochemistry. He is the son of Judith and Dale Yarber, St. Maries.
Charlotte Yeomans, a graduate of Lewis and Clark High School, was also awarded the $1,454 Claire May Band physics scholarship. She plans to study sciences, and is the daughter of Linda Yeomans, Spokane, and H. Gordon Yeomans, Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Melissa Christensen, Pullman High School graduate, is a junior studying elementary education. She is the daughter of Vicki and Pat Christensen, Pullman.
Jeffrey Cook, Colfax High School graduate, plans to study engineering. He is the son of Colleen and Michael Cook, Colfax.
Gabriel Greiner, Central Valley High School graduate, plans to study architecture. She is the daughter of Catherine and Richard Greiner.
Sabina Milbrath, 1991 Mead High School graduate, is a Community Colleges of Spokane transfer. She plans to study landscape architecture, and is the daughter of Gisela and Phillip Moyle, Spokane.
Jonica Parry, a 1993 North Central High School graduate, is studying architecture. She is the daughter of Lynda and Jim Parry, Spokane.
Rhonda Rockness, Rosalia High School graduate, plans to study public relations. She is the daughter of Karen and Chuck Rockness, Rosalia.

Katherine Buss, Ferris High School graduate, plans to study business administration. She is the daughter of Danita and Albert Buss, Spokane.
Leslie Czernik, a Medical Lake High School graduate, is the daughter of Sandra Czernik, Medical Lake.
Daisy Daubert, East Valley High School graduate, plans to study zoology. She is the daughter of Audrey and Timothy Daubert.
Juleen Esvelt, Kettle Falls High School graduate, plans to study engineering. She is the daughter of Windy and Fred Esvelt, Rice.
Paul Henning, a Pullman High School graduate, plans to study music and architecture. He is the son of Carolee Armfield, Pullman, and Roger Henning, Thornton.

Amy Laughlin, Gonzaga Prep graduate, plans to study pharmacy. She is the daughter of Jacqueline and Robert Laughlin, Spokane.

Susan Amen, a Mead High School graduate, also received a Glenn Terrell Presidential Scholar in Residence housing waiver of $1,000. She plans to study science and is the daughter of Adrienne Amen, Spokane.
Asif Chaudhry, a Pullman High School graduate, also received Multicultural Scholar in Residence and Glenn Terrell Presidential Scholar housing waivers of $1,000 each. He is the son of Shamin and Hanif Chaudhry, Pullman.
Christina Dittmar, a Riverside High School graduate, also received a Glenn Terrell Presidential Honorable Mention Scholarship for $500. She plans to study Russian language/literature, as well as math or science. She is the daughter of Linda and Steven Snider, Spokane.
Multicultural Scholarships (4-year, $1,500) went to:
Trung Ho Nguyen, a Lewis and Clark High School graduate, plans to study in the health field. He is the nephew of Cuc Ho, Spokane.
Gary Yamashita, a Medical Lake High School graduate, is the son of Linda and Eric Yamashita.
The Multicultural Scholar in Residence award, a $1,894 housing waiver, went to Sara Ray, a Lewis and Clark High School graduate. She plans to study nursing and is the daughter of Jean and Laurence Ray, Spokane.
