Othello Man Stable After Gun Wound

An Othello, Wash., man who was shot in the back with a shotgun late Wednesday is in stable condition at Deaconess Medical Center.

The 53-year-old man was shot about 9 p.m. at the Othello Rod and Gun Club on Cunningham Road, the Adams County Sheriff’s office reported.

The victim was taken to Othello Community Hospital, then flown to Deaconess, sheriff’s deputies said.

The incident appears to be accidental, deputies said. No names were released.
