Work On Logging Road To Commence

The Forest Service will start work next week to keep dust down on a Wolf Lodge Creek road that will carry heavy logging traffic this summer.

Blading and watering will begin Monday on Wolf Lodge Creek Road No. 202 (Searchlight). Dust abatement material will be applied on Wednesday.

The work is in preparation for the Horizon Sun Timber Sale, located in the Fernan Ranger District. There will be heavy log truck traffic on the Searchlight road, said District Ranger Don Bright.

Forest users are encouraged to use other roads.

The sale is located about eight miles east of Coeur d’Alene.
