Chicken Dinners Recalled
Campbell Soup Co. is recalling 62,000 Swanson brand chicken dinners for children because some may contain pieces of hard plastic, the Agriculture Department said Tuesday.
The 29-state recall that includes Washington and Idaho concerns only one product, the 9-ounce “Swanson Kids Fun Feast Chompin’ Chicken Drumlets,” which contains breaded chicken nugget patties, mashed potatoes, corn in seasoned sauce and a brownie.
The code “APR 96 1B5 P70” appears on the side panel under the words “Recommended Use By.”
The company informed the Agriculture Department of the problem after three consumers reported finding hard plastic in the dinners. No one was injured.
The findings were reported in Lake Stevens, Wash., Portland, Ore., and Cedar Hills, Utah.
The recall covers an entire day’s production. Consumers should return the product unopened to where they bought it.
