Colbert Teen Dies From Injuries In Wreck

A 14-year-old Colbert girl who suffered massive head injuries when she was thrown from a car Saturday night has died.

Nicole L. Oman died Monday of injuries she suffered in the accident in northern Spokane County, a Sacred Heart Medical Center nursing supervisor said.

Three other people were injured in the accident, which occurred near the intersection of Day-Mount Spokane and Dunn. None was wearing seat belts, the Washington State Patrol said.

The car was westbound on Day-Mount Spokane when it crossed the eastbound lane, went off the road, hit an embankment and rolled, state troopers said.
