Orlando Loses Anderson After Collision On Court
Orlando guard Nick Anderson was removed from the court on a stretcher Wednesday night after he bumped heads with Detroit’s Rafael Addison.
Anderson remained face down for about 10 minutes while team trainers and paramedics examined him. The injury, diagnosed as a concussion, occurred with 9:21 remaining in the second quarter and the Magic trailing 51-33.
Orlando was already playing without its top point guards, Anfernee Hardaway and Brian Shaw.
Rockets pair still out
The team doctor for the Houston Rockets recommended that Hakeem Olajuwon and Vernon Maxwell miss three more games because of their iron-deficiency anemia.
Nets Morris on injured reserve
Chris Morris, who has played both shooting guard and small forward for the New Jersey Nets this season, was placed on the injured list with a strained left hamstring.
