Defenseman Chris Imes, a former Olympian, who led Maine to the NCAA championship game last weekend, has signed with the International Hockey League Minnesota Moose.

Imes, runner-up for the Hobey Baker Award as college hockey’s outstanding player, signed through the 1995-96 season. He will join the Moose for today’s game at Las Vegas, the second-to-last game of the regular season.

The Moose, a first-year IHL team, begin the playoffs April 14.
