Greyhounds Salvage Split With Eagles

Andy Imada and Tim Ecklund each went 3 for 4 with three RBIs as West Valley beat Pullman 10-9 in the first game of a Frontier League baseball doubleheader Saturday at West Valley.

Tyson Sohns went the distance for the Eagles (2-3), giving up six hits while striking out eight and walking five.

In the second game, the Greyhounds (3-2) rebounded for a 7-4 win behind Ray Kallaher’s three-run home run in the second inning.

Kallaher pitched a complete game, supported by three hits each from Ryan O’Fallon and Ecklund.

At East Valley, Brady Noble and Cory Heater each had solo home runs as the Colville Indians (2-3) beat the East Valley Knights 5-3 in the opener of a doubleheader.

In the second game, Bill Tincup smacked a three-run homer in the second inning and had four RBIs as the Knights (4-1) beat the Greyhounds 14-11.

East Valley’s Brock Rogers had a leadoff home run in the fourth inning, and finished with five RBIs.

The doubleheader between Cheney and Clarkston was rained out.

In the Bi-County League, Carson Keeble and Nick Harkness combined for a no-hitter as the Reardan Indians (4-1, 5-2) blanked the Ritzville Broncos (4-2, 5-3) 10-0 in the first game of a doubleheader. The Indians won the nightcap 10-1.
