Duke No. 1 On Pba Tour
Norm Duke regained the No. 1 ranking on the PBA tour after finishing 15th in last week’s U.S. Open.
Duke of Edmond, Okla., regained the top spot after spending a week at No. 2. Although winless, he has been ranked first for 12 of the 13 tournaments.
Dave Husted’s victory last week moved him from eighth to fourth. It was the second win of the year for the Milwaukie, Ore., bowler.
Walter Ray Williams Jr., who had been No. 1, finished 42nd last week and trails Duke by 10 points (1,444 to 1,434).
Amleto Monacelli remains at No. 3 with 1,290 points, eight ahead of Husted.
