World League of American Football officials expressed satisfaction Tuesday with the attendance at the opening weekend of the season.

More than 45,000 fans attended games in Amsterdam, Frankfurt and Edinburgh.

The U.S. Cycling Federation is in the final stages of selecting sites for the 1996 Olympic trials in road and track bicycling.

Blaine, Minn., Indianapolis and Trexlertown, Pa., made bids for the men’s and women’s track trials last Thursday at the federation’s headquarters in Colorado Springs, Colo. Charleston, Pittsburgh, Seattle and Charlotte, N.C., also offered to hold the road cycling trials.
