Sex Offender Sought For Parole Violation

From Staff And Wire Reports

A teenage sex offender is wanted by Spokane police for violating the conditions of his parole again.

Donald Stickels, 18, was convicted in 1993 for molesting a 4-year-old boy.

He also has served time at a juvenile corrections school in Chehalis, Wash., for seconddegree burglary, seconddegree theft, fourth-degree assault and weapons charges.

The North Central High School dropout has been living as a transient, police said.

There is a good chance Stickels will re-offend, police said. He admitted molesting several boys and girls between the ages of 9 and 11, police spokesman Dick Cottam said.

Since his release last summer, Stickels has been arrested at least twice for refusing to participate in sex offender treatment programs.

He also has moved several times without reporting his new address, and police do not know where he is now. There is a warrant for his arrest.

Stickels is 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighs 160 pounds and has green eyes and brown hair. A small letter “R” is tattooed on his left shoulder.

Residents with information on Stickels are asked to call Crime Check at 456-2233.
