Head Start Taking Applications

Government-supported preschools in Spokane County are accepting applications for fall.

Head Start and Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program preschools offer children’s activities, parenting classes and social services to lowincome families.

Children must be 4 years old before Aug. 31, 1995. Class space is limited.

The free preschools operate with federal and state money. They are run by Community Colleges of Spokane at 25 sites.
