City Bicyclists Fair Rescheduled In Park

From Staff Reports

A bicycle fair set for last Wednesday in Riverfront Park was canceled because of rain but has been rescheduled for this Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Bicycle clubs and businesses participating in this year’s Oil Smart commuter campaign will sponsor the fair in the Gondola Meadows near Spokane Falls Boulevard.

Bicyclists can enter the “fix-aflat” repair race at noon by the Bloomsday runner sculptures, talk with Spokane Transit Authority workers about the Bikes on Buses program, ride on a tour of newly installed downtown bike racks and win prizes.

A bike ride to Browne’s Addition will be led by the Spokane police bike patrol. The 30-minute trip will begin at 12:15 p.m. by the Bloomsday sculptures.

Participants are encouraged to bring bag lunches to the fair, which is free.
